The Challenge
ARCA (The Asbestos Removal Contractors Association) promotes safety and professionalism across the licensed asbestos removal industry. After speaking with over 100 of their members, a consistent issue emerged: the standard of asbestos removal operatives supplied by recruitment agencies was not always acceptable.
Contractors lacked visibility into an operative’s past performance, while ARCA had limited ways to monitor quality, identify training needs or address recurring issues before they became formal complaints.
There was no suitable off‑the‑shelf product that could address these challenges. ARCA needed a bespoke solution designed specifically around the needs of their members, agencies and contractors.
The Solution
We designed and built ALFA, a bespoke, ‘TripAdvisor‑style’ ratings app that allows contractors to rate operatives after each job.
The system provides a single, secure platform where performance builds over time, giving contractors confidence when selecting operatives and enabling ARCA to monitor standards across the industry.

The Outcome
