In place of the single licence type are three licences designed to make the user licensing options more flexible.
This is how Microsoft describes its Dynamics CRM 13 licences due to be released in October 13.
- Professional – For the core CRM user, who needs the full capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics CRM including sales force automation as well as marketing and customer care.
- Basic – For sales, service and marketing users who need to manage accounts contacts, leads, cases and access custom applications as well as business analysts who require reporting capabilities.
- Essential – For light-weight users who need to access custom applications developed in house.
The prices have only been published in US dollars, we will make the UK pricing available as soon as we have them.
This new pricing allows companies to have greater flexibility with their licencing. This also appears to be a game plan of Microsoft to align their pricing with Salesforce.com.
